Comicon ’06

As usual we took the train.

There were five of us: Jack (of course), his friend Monty, my neighbor across the street Carlo, my good friend from college John, and me. Played a lot of “hangman” on the way. I did some sketching, but not as much as I should have, probably.

On the way back the train broke down and left us on the platform at Laguna Nigel for about three hours. We got home at 3:00 am! Other than that it was a lot of fun.

Summer swimmin’

Last weekend we spent two days in two different pools. The kids loved it. This is where it paid off, dragging those poor kids to the local YMCA in the winter to their weekly swim lessons.

Happy Father’s Day

I unexpectedly got the day off! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.

Jack at work

I’m trying some small changes, bit by bit, to this blog. For the first time I’ve turned on the “comments” below the posts.

Emma

Visiting us with her family before moving to another state.

Crazy eights

Seems to me that the winner should get the M&M;, but what do I know? While I was drawing this, Jack (12) drew me drawing it (click to enlarge):

He got some great detail in there. Note the pictures of relatives on the wall behind me and the coo-coo clock in the hallway. I don’t know why he didn’t draw his sister, the card player.

Painting Daddy’s toenails

She’s seven-years-old and very determined. What am I going to say, “No”? (And purple’s a good color.)
